What We Look For in a Buddy
We're selective on purpose. Every customer is promised a Buddy they can trust with their home — meeting this bar is what makes that promise real, and what makes the badge worth wearing.
Every Buddy Verified18 years or older
All Buddies must be at least 18 years old at the time of application.
Reliable transportation
A personal car, truck, or SUV to drive your route. Junk removal needs a truck or trailer; bin moving doesn't.
Clean background check
Every Buddy passes a comprehensive criminal background check before their first route.
Government-issued ID
A valid driver's license or other government-issued ID is required for verification.
Authorized to work in the U.S.
All Buddies must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

We screen through Checkr — the same platform Uber, Instacart, and Lyft use. It's a standard criminal check and ID verification, results usually back in a few business days, and it's the same process every Buddy on the platform has already been through.
